We've been a bit spoiled over the last two outings, so tonight we went back to an old haunt down Brighton Road at Charminar.  We've been here plenty of times, sometimes with the Mango Mummy.  It's got a good menu and gets plenty of take away and delivery traffic.  The service is always very attentive.

But what did the BCK think about it?

She (the BCK) says: "It was very good and creamy and it was very chickeny.  Very good.  The food came out really really quickly and we didn't have to wait to order."

He (the Mango Daddy) says: "Quieter than normal for a Tuesday night, and we got here later than usual at 6.35.  Our order was taken very soon after being seated, and the food came out in just over 5 minutes.  This is both good and bad.  Both dishes were really creamy, and the naan bread was really good, not greasy.  The Mango Lassi was good, but came with a lot of ice, so not much mango lassi.  Again good and bad, but at least the BCK had some room left for the food which was pretty close behind.  The food was very much like it had been waiting all afternoon to be spooned from a bain marie.  Both dishes had a very consistent (heart attack level creamy) consistency and flavour.  Nothing particular exciting or unusual with either dish.  Lots of left overs from the big portions, which sort of justifies the price, which staggeringly came in more than British India.  If you're after curry in a hurry, you can do worse than here.  If you're after something a bit more special, somewhere that delivers on less is more, then go somewhere else."
