We're having to go a bit further afield to find new Indian restaurants and tonight we pushed 15 minutes up the coast to Henley. We parked up near the jetty, asked Dr Google only to find there were no Indian restaurants in the main part of Henley. Back in the car we headed back to Henley Beach Road with the BCK navigating. After a couple of false parks, we found a spot and headed into the restaurant.
The food was superb, but unusually everything came out separately. One Mango Lassi at a time, my curry and the rice, and then about 10 minutes later the BCK's Butter Chicken. They weren't overly busy so it seemed a bit odd. Even without the sparkling water the bill would have been $85.50, so reasonably expensive, but the portion sizes were massive and we have plenty of left overs.
The mutton curry was really delicious. So tender and with a nice spice. I was full before I'd even made a dent in mine.
But what did the BCK think about it?
She (the BCK) says: "It was very yummy. I was hungry watching dad eat his curry before mine came out."
The next couple of weeks are going to be tricky with the BCK's super swim and end of year school concerts so we're going to have to get creative!
