Back after an earlier than hoped for exit from the Australian Open bowls campaign I was keen to get out with Jem tonight for a curry. Our target was Bombay Kitchen and Bar. Jemma had a shocker and knocked over a full mango lassi when we were last there and needed some convincing that they wouldn't remember her.
Anyway, turns out Bombay Kitchen and Bar is turning into a Mexican, and was therefore shut. So we went on to an old favourite of ours - Indian Spice in Moseley Square. A good menu and they've been around for a while. Always good Indian music playing in the background. It was way too cold to sit outside, but it was nice and toasty and plenty of room for us inside.
But what did the BCK think about it?
She (the BCK) says: "It was very yummy and its a good place to go if you're OK with time. My favourite was probably the butter chicken because it was yummy and creamy. And I did something I don't do usually and I tried a new dish called Balti Chicken. The service is OK, everyone that works there is nice and kind."
He (the Mango Daddy) says: "A solid choice. The butter chicken was a bit buttery for my liking, but the Balti Chicken was a 10/10. So tasty that even Jem tried it. They offer a good range of spice with medium good enough for me and mild enough for Jem. The food takes a bit of time to come out, but it was worth the wait and it felt freshly prepared. The mango lassi helped fill the gap. This is a top spot in the summer when we can watch the sunset over the water from outside. Very friendly service at a great price, with some delicious leftovers for the good lady for when she gets home."
