Second round of Curry Roulette took us to this hidden gem in Seaview Downs, around 500 metres past our regular fish and chip haunt. We span the wheel on the way back from Jem's swimming yesterday and it rated highly so I made a booking to make sure we didn't miss out.
The service was very quick and the mango lassis were out almost immediately, and almost immediately after that were gone. Absolute 10s. It made the 24 minute wait for the food seem all the longer. But as we say, if it's taking time to come out it's probably not coming from the dreaded Bain Marie, so easy up and be patient champ.
But what did the BCK think about it?
She (the BCK) says: "It was very good and I really enjoyed it and it was well worth the wait. The mango lassi was very milky, a bit like a bubble tea but it didn't have the pearls in it and it was very mangoey. And that is what I say about it."
He (the Mango Daddy) says: "A bit of a surprise this place. Quite busy and lots of delivery drivers coming in to pick up orders. A great menu and the butter chicken, not normally my domain, was something else. The roti were perfect, best I've had since Jem and I have been going out for curries, and there's plenty left over for tomorrow's lunch. A mere $59. Must be nice. Cool artwork and general decor. Also of note was the Thai restaurant next door, which I've put in to the memory banks in case we ever graduate from butter chicken."
