Well this was supposed to be a return to one of our old pre-blog haunts  - Royal Bites.  It has been closed for ages other than on weekends so it didn't suit.  I thought it looked different when I drove past the other day and google said it had a new name.

I felt really sorry for the people running Royal Bites - the lady out front worked full time in the city and then came back to work the night shift at the restaurant - and they were almost always empty.

Anyhow, what a transformation.  The ambience has been completely changed with some beautiful murals including a full wall painting of Glenelg Jetty.

We were presented with complimentary mango lassis and pumpadumps as Jem still calls them.  The food was excellent, a wonderful menu, and well deserving of the 4.9 star average from 30 reviews on google.

But what did the BCK think about it?

She (the BCK) says: "The food was tasty but a bit spicy.  The lady was really nice and friendly.  The mango lassi was great.  I loved the choice of lollies as we left - so much choice!"

He (the Mango Daddy) says: "Food was sensational.  The menu was great and my dish was on the bone and quite spicy.  The naans were really good and I loved that Jemma had a seagull on her head the whole meal.

The mango lassis really set the tone and we will be back, with Ness. Lucky to have this place so close to home and hope it gets the success it deserves."
