Back to Bombay Vintage in Brighton this week.  They have mango lassi on the menu so we were able to quench our withdrawal symptoms after last week's Himalayan diversion.

This place is a bit of an enigma.  There is a very small front of house presence, and we normally have the whole restaurant to ourselves, literally.  There's no real sense of urgency but the food is really good.  The lady who serves us is both pleasant and off-hand at the same time, often in the same visit to the table.  I'd not explored the vegetarian side of the menu and was keen for a change.

She (the BCK) says: "It was great.  It was really yummy.  It took a while for the food to come out, but when it did it was delicious!  The butter chicken and the other food was warm, not exactly hot, but it was the perfect temperature to eat.  I really enjoyed it.  That is all I have to say."

He (the Mango Daddy) says: "I went for a vegetarian dish this time around - the eggplant masala.  It was really good.  Just medium spice, but they do that so well here - a nice little kick."
